Software that creates real value for business.
I build systems that create real value for organizations — clean, maintainable code that holds up under real-world use.

About Me
Anas Syed
I am a developer interested in software engineering, focused on writing clean, maintainable code and building systems that hold up well in real-world use. I care about how software creates real value and helps organizations operate at scale, and how different components come together in production environments.
I am especially fascinated by how large systems handle heavy traffic, constant change, uptime requirements, and sudden spikes in demand while still staying stable and responsive. Recently, I applied this thinking in a point-of-sale (POS) system used in a real cashier workflow, improving performance by 3–5× over the existing setup. The work involved making practical trade-offs between speed, simplicity, and complexity to ensure the system remained fast, reliable, and maintainable in production.
Currently, I am strengthening my fundamentals in software engineering through hands-on projects. Alongside this, I am exploring LangGraph and AI agents for building modern AI-driven systems.
"Technology is only as valuable as the outcomes it creates. The real work is building systems that hold up when real people depend on them."

POS & inventory system for retail stores
A point-of-sale system managing inventory and sales for a retail store — counter billing, stock tracking, and admin controls, with automated daily database backups to Azure Blob Storage. Currently in daily use by the store's 4 cashiers and admin.
ReactTailwind CSSshadcn/uiFlaskMarshmallowRedis Queue Retail analytics pipeline
Pulls the latest database backup from Azure Blob Storage, restores it into Azure SQL, and shapes it for Power BI dashboards — a containerized pipeline that keeps the store's reporting current.
Azure Blob StorageAzure SQLPower BIOBT (One Big Table)Azure Key VaultAzure Container Registry (ACR)Voice AI customer support agent
A real-time voice agent for a food delivery app — LiveKit browser client paired with a Python agent pipeline, with STT/LLM/TTS fallbacks so calls keep working when a service dips.
End-to-end computer vision pipeline
Video processing, object detection, segmentation, custom dataset creation, and YOLO training — from raw footage to a working model.
Invoice data extraction pipeline
Pulls structured fields — invoice number, GST number, grand total, tax total — out of invoice images and PDFs using PaddleOCR with an LLM on top.
